Project Name: STREET ART AMDAVAD - Community Art Initiative
Duration and Location – February 2023, Ahmedabad
Project Description: I curated this project in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation—the project aimed to identify spaces in the city with the potential to become community gathering spaces. The community-led initiative brought like-minded individuals together to explore opportunities and creativity. The main focus was creating murals in these identified areas through the power of community participation.
Role/Accomplishments/Vision: As the Creative Development Manager, I played a pivotal role in forming a community of 100 people and collaborating with 20 professional artists. I organised two such events in Ahmedabad. My responsibilities included space identification, volunteer recruitment, marketing, finding collaborators and sponsors, leading brainstorming sessions, and managing logistics. I worked closely with government agencies, with Sujalam as our facilitator and the Assistant Commissioner.
Performance Metrics: Successfully organised two such events in Ahmedabad
Scope of Work: Community-led art projects, mural creation, event organisation, and community building.
Team Size: 100 community members and 20 professional artists.
